Ella Isakov
Certified Yoga Teacher * 647.449.3552 * ellaisakov@yahoo.com
Yogi, Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapist, wellness coach and humanitarian, Ella has taught yoga for over 5 years and has been practicing for a decade. After graduating with a Psychology undergraduate degree and Masters in Education, she worked as an elementary school teacher both locally and internationally. Ella discovered Ashtanga yoga overseas, and upon returning studied intensively with Ron Reid, Marla Meenakshi Joy and Diane Bruni of Downward Dog Centre. She is also grateful for the guidance and wisdom of master teachers, Seane Corn, Suzanne Sterling, Rod Stryker and Paul Dallaghan.
Ella feels that yoga found her and is incredibly grateful for the beautiful gifts she continuously discovers on her journey. Her passion and purpose in life has always been to inspire others to uncover their inner knowing and light within. Ella provides a warm, safe and attentive environment, giving special attention to individual needs and challenging students to go deeper, integrating breath and allowing for a greater connection to body, heart and mind. As she journeyed deeper into her own practice, there was a deep desire to be of service within the community and beyond.
In 2011, Ella raised $20,000 for Haiti with Off the Mat, Into the World and went there to aid in humanitarian efforts. She is currently on the committee of Yoga Unite, supporting local non-profit organizations in the Toronto area.
Ella also established a children’s yoga company, Stellar Kids Yoga, spreading the love of yoga to the next generation, and Prana Retreats, leading wellness retreats with raw food and yoga. She is a regular contributor to several magazines and an avid blogger.
